1. What is MyRounds?

MyRounds is an app for doctors that allows users to securely record patient medical data and billing information, as well as create fast referrals and facilitate seamless back office processing.

2. Does MyRounds work for General Practitioners and Allied Health?

While there are many healthcare app’s in the market, MyRounds has been specifically designed for physicians in Australian hospitals.

3. Does MyRounds focus on a particular speciality?

MyRounds is applicable to all doctors that want to save time by tracking their professional activity, referring patients and efficiently providing billing information to their back office staff.

4. Does MyRounds have the relevant Medicare codes for my speciality?

Yes, MyRounds uses a complete list of MBS codes.

5. How does MyRounds keep up with changes to the Medicare system?

Updates to the MBS are applied to the app automatically.

6. How does MyRounds interact with my existing billing software?

MyRounds complements existing software by supplying a parallel repository of complete data so that your back office team can efficiently conduct billing processes. MyRounds replaces the loose bits of paper easily lost or the cumbersome notebook.

7. What training will my back office staff need?

No training. MyRounds is user-friendly and simple to navigate.

8. How secure is MyRounds?

MyRounds is safe and secure, it has been developed with secure code and encryption to ensure sensitive patient information is protected.

9. Why does MyRounds not publish compliance with ISO standards?

ISO standards are typically used as minimum quality signals to ensure inclusion within procurement-based processes.

MyRounds has not engaged external consultants to achieve accreditation under this process. We have prioritised investment towards providing a safe, secure app which delivers a high-quality user experience.

10. What refund options exists if I no longer wish to continue with MyRounds?

MyRounds is billed annually, quarterly or monthly. Pro-rata reimbursement is available for cancellation of your quarterly or annual subscription.

11. Who developed MyRounds?

Lauren and Alex, two Brisbane-based physicians who crave efficiency, reliability and streamlined processes which enhance productivity and increase the time available to practice medicine.

12. How do I make referrals to colleagues?

You can refer to any registered app user. If the colleague you would like to refer to, is not a registered user, you can invite them to join MyRounds via email. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Settings
  2. My Favourites
  3. My Contacts
  4. Add Contact
  5. Invite Practitioner – simply enter their email address

13. How do I sign up my practice group to MyRounds?

Every doctor requires an individual subscription. When signing up the user can nominate a practice.

14. I cannot find my group practice.

Please make sure that the spelling precisely matches the name of the first registered practice (including capitalisation).

15. What is MyRounds data retention policy?

All data is purged from the MyRounds servers after 6 months. You will be able to download your data prior to this occurring.

16. What happens if I accidentally discharge or delete a patient?

You can reactivate your patient from the patient history tab in settings. Search for the deleted patient and click reactivate to restore the patient to your list.

17. What happens when the specialist I would like to refer to does not currently subscribe to MyRounds?

You can refer to any registered app user. If the colleague you would like to refer to, is not a registered user, you can invite them to join MyRounds via email. Simply follow these steps:

  3. My Contacts
  4. Add Contact
  5. Invite Practitioner – simply enter their email address

18. How do I transfer care to another specialist?

  1. Select the patient, next select patient handover.
  2. If you wish for this to be a permanent transfer of care, select the permanent handover toggle, otherwise choose the practitioner and the dates of handover.
  3. By scrolling down the screen, you can view all other patients in your care at that hospital (which may also be handover for the same period if selected).

19. How do I add favourite billing item numbers?

Go to settings, my favourites, item numbers.

20. Can I bill more than one item number on a day?

Yes.

21. When processing billing how do I or my back-end staff document billing as submitted vs. paid?

  • Using the patient tab on the website, scroll down until you find the section titled unpaid items.
  • Next, select the action toggle to billed for all the items you wish to bill.
  • Now set select items to billed.
  • When payment has been received, select the paid toggle to finalise your documentation. At the bottom of the screen you will see the billing history by whom and when these items were actioned. (This is helpful for when you have multiple admin staff).

22. Can I download my previous billing history and analyse the data?

Yes, please do this before the 6-month purge. To do this, select the consultation tab, the date range and Doctor.

23. What if I cannot find my patients?

Try closing and restarting the app.

24. What happens if my internet goes down?

Internet connectivity (Wi-Fi or cellular) is required to use the app so you can connect via your cellular network.

25. How does MyRounds differ from competitors?
